At a part-time job interview, Naoto meets Umezawa Makina, a junior from middle school and the ace of the track and field club. When Makina finds out that Naoto doesn't have a smartphone, she forcefully takes him to buy one, but once he gets the phone, the first person he calls is Murasaki. Makina, who went on to join the track and field club at a prestigious girls' high school in Tokyo, has actually fallen into a slump and has been skipping club activities.
